GUEST SPEAKERS
Bill Tierney is one of the most accomplished coaches in men’s lacrosse history, winning seven NCAA Division I national championships—six at Princeton and one at Denver. Over his career, he transformed both programs into national powers and became one of the sport’s most respected leaders.
After retiring from college coaching following the 2023 season, Tierney returned to the sidelines in 2024 as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Philadelphia Waterdogs in the Premier Lacrosse League. He is a member of the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame and the IMLCA Hall of Fame, recognized widely for his lasting impact on the sport.
J.L. Reppert is the head men’s lacrosse coach at the College of the Holy Cross, a position he has held since 2021. Before coming to Holy Cross, he spent six years as the offensive coordinator at the University of Maryland, where he helped guide the Terrapins to multiple Final Fours and a national championship.
A former Navy standout, Reppert played attack at the U.S. Naval Academy, where he was a captain and graduated in 1999. After serving as a Marine Corps officer, he transitioned into coaching, with stints at Harvard, Navy, and Washington College before landing at Maryland. He holds a master’s degree in finance from the Naval Postgraduate School.
Dave Pietramala is widely regarded as one of the greatest defensemen in lacrosse history. A dominant player at Johns Hopkins, he earned three First-Team All-American honors, won the Schmeisser Award twice, and received the Enners Award as the nation’s top player.
He later became one of the sport’s most successful coaches. Pietramala served as head coach at Cornell before leading Johns Hopkins for two decades, guiding the Blue Jays to 18 NCAA Tournament appearances, seven Final Fours, and two national championships in 2005 and 2007. He is the only person in Division I men’s lacrosse history to win a national title as both a player and a head coach.
