Harrison Bernstein is the founder and Executive Director of Soldiers To Sidelines (STS), a non-profit organization that helps the military community become character-based sports coaches in their communities. After resigning from coaching professional football, he dedicated himself fully to the STS mission. Harrison has coached football and sports performance at the NFL, NCAA Division I, II, III, and high school levels. He taught in the master's program of Exercise Science at George Washington University for seven years. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Economics, he was captain of the football team, earned All-American honors for three years, and was named Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1997. He authored "The Everyday Coach: Harnessing the Magic of Influence," providing it free to STS Soldier Coaches and donating all profits to STS. Harrison lives in Lewes, DE, with his wife, Laura Olendeski, and their son, Keturi Bernstein
Jerod Kruse is a seasoned coach with 24 years of experience at various levels, currently serving as the research and strategy coach for the Cleveland Browns while also coaching at Olathe West High School in Kansas City, where his son plays quarterback. Kruse has contributed to multiple NFL teams’ game planning and has been involved in several Super Bowl runs. From 2019-20, he was the Secondary Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator at Florida International University, where his efforts led to a significant rise in the team’s pass defense rankings. Before that, he spent two seasons with the Cleveland Browns, helping the secondary improve dramatically and mentoring Pro Bowl selection Denzel Ward. Kruse's coaching background also includes 16 years in college football, where he played a key role in transitions at William Jewell College and achieved multiple conference accolades. He played college football at Coffeyville Junior College and Emporia State, earning several honors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and a master’s in health and physical education from Emporia State. Jerod lives with his wife Kristin and their three children: Cameron, Marin, and Reese.
